If you were to ask any gamer who grew up in the previous decade to name a few titles that were wildly popular hits with critics and the masses of people who played them, quite a few should spring to mind. One they would likely speak of would be the most influential 2-D brawlers of all time, Street Fighter II. This title is well known for its groundbreaking influence, such that married complex gameplay with that of the most memorable characters in the history of gaming. The game has seen quite a few revisions, one of which was Hyper Fighting. Capcom has decided to take their beloved arcade classic and offer it to Xbox Live users in the form of a downloadable XBLA game that costs a reasonable ten bucks, or in the form of the Xbox Live currency, 800 MS points.
Sweet to the Core
SF:II is still one of the best fighting games of all time. It’s the ultimate 2-D classic, one of the best fighting games of all time that surely stands the test of time is offered to Xbox Live users at a mere ten bucks.
Digitally beating your friends face in is just as fun as it was back in the day . Participating in the Quarter Match is just a flat-out great time that will trigger nostalgia among players.
Going Bad
Disastrous D-Pad. The Xbox 360's directional pad is a bit too stiff and may act as a hassle to players who want to properly execute desired maneuvers.
Rotten to the Core
Horrid ranking system. The incredibly flawed online ranking system. Penalties that should otherwise hurt a sore player's rank and not granting the remaining player a victory is a serious crime and a waste of time.
